Dr. Catherine Alinane Chaweza
Is a communication practitioner, trained in Communication, Education, Media, Peace Studies and Community and Grassroots Mobilizing. She has vast experience in the communication field after spending 22 years of her career life in Public Relations, Communication and Outreach in government, constitutional and international institutions. She has successfully managed media campaigns and trained journalists in Human Rights mainstreaming and Science Communication.
She is also a fellow of the Alliance for Science which is a Science Communication organization based at the Cornell University in New York, USA. Catherine holds a PhD in Health Communication from Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya and her area of study was COVID-19 communication specifically examining the effectiveness of the Malawi Government communication of COVID-19 to its citizens.
A motivated team player and avid Communicator, Proofreader and Editor, her areas of interest are Media, Communication, Knowledge Management and Public Awareness creation. Her current concentration is in Health Communication and Science Communication and Policy.
